Which films are you going to watch this Halloween?
In all honesty, we’re into our horror/ scary films all year round but when it gets to Halloween season there’s just something extra exciting about either making a trip to the cinemas to watch the 500th Saw, heading round to our mates to watch Hocus Pocus yet again or even staying in and watching Evil Dead again (because whenever is there a bad time).
Below are 10 films (some of which you’re all bound to have seen more than a handful of times and others you may not have got round to watching yet). Let us know which you’re planning on watching…
We love this franchise, even though they’re ridiculously far fetched. I mean C’MON didn’t the old guy (**spoiler alert**) die like 3 films ago?! If you wanna head out this weekend rather than stay in, Jigsaw should definately be your go-to.
WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS
If you like your scary films with a sense of humour then this is perfect. We don’t know why it took us so long to discover this film, but Netflix definately came through for us with this gem.
One of those classic let’s go somewhere and never come back scenarios you know…
SHAUN OF THE DEAD
Do we even need to write any words as to why you should watch Shaun of the Dead this Halloween? You already know.
This film is hands down one of the best mystery/thrillers we’ve come across in a long time and with an audience rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes (99% from the critics), we’re not alone in this thinking. Our favourite kind of “scary” film is exactly along the lines of Get Out – Perfect if you like your jump scares, comedy but ALSO a really good narrative.
We’re not going to bore you with a description because 99% of you will have already seen Beetlejuice 900 times like us, so instead we’re going to leave one of our favourite scenes from Beetlejuice above.
We always recommend this film to our friends to watch (it’s on Netflix) because it’s one of those that you see when you’re scrolling through but for some reason it never grabs you. Hush really is a good film though!
” A deaf writer who retreated into the woods to live a solitary life must fight for her life in silence when a masked killer appears at her window. “
28 DAYS LATER
14 years old whaaaaaaaat! One of Danny Boyle’s best to be honest.
HOUSE OF WAX
You know the one with the funny Paris Hilton death scene?
