In order for us to get you into the venues and commence the fun as soon as possible, please read through the info below. You’ll also find any travel information you may need if you’re not familiar with the Manchester area and how to get to the venue on the day.
DON’T…
Bring in any of the following:
- Food and drink (That includes any glass bottles, containers)
- Dogs or any other animals (not even your best mate Kev the hamster)
- Weapons and any other harmful items i.e knives, pepperspray, fireworks
- Drugs
- Professional cameras (SLR’s for example) unless you have prior permission i.e from the venue or a media outlet
- Spiked bracelets and belts with studs ( Spikes greater than 1.5cm are not permitted)

VENUE ENTRY Begins at 1pm
IMPORTANT: Re-entry is only allowed until 7pm. Once you have your festival band, you have the possibility to leave the venue but only until 7pm. If you leave the venue after this time, reentry isn’t permitted – This is due to the rules on noise in the vicinity of the venue.
TRANSPORT LINKS
Travelling from from Victoria train station:
- BY BUS: to Piccadilly Station and a train to Oxford Road Station
- BY FOOT: 30 mins (1.9 miles)
Travelling from Manchester Piccadilly train station:
- BY TRAIN: To cut the walking time you can jump on a train to Oxford Road Station
- BY TRAM: Piccadilly Gardens and then a bus in the 40s to the University (There’s normally a regular flow of buses heading in the Uni’s direction although please bear in mind it is a bank holiday so the times may be more irregular)
- BY BUS: 147 Oxford Link bus to Manchester University (operates until 6.45pm)
- BY FOOT: It’s about a 25 minute walk
Travelling from Oxford Road train station:
- BY FOOT: out of the station taking steps on right or following the road, turn right onto Oxford Road and walk for 15 minutes to the Students’ Union (0.9 miles)
- BY BUS: Coming out of the main station entrace/exit turn right and cross over the road and take a bus in front of the Palace Hotel there to the Students’ Union
PARKING
There are several car parks available, however as it is a bank holiday on-street parking nearby the venue should be free Wahoooo! However for those looking for park in one of Manchester Academy’s car parks all their info can be found HERE:
AGE RESTRICTION
Children from the age of 14 are allowed, however those aged 14-16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over at all times.
FESTIVAL WRISTBANDS
Lost festival wristbands will be not replaced, so please make sure it’s secure on you.

BY FOOT (From Kentish Town tube station): Turn right out of the station and at the junction of Highgate Rd and Fortress Rd take the left hand fork on to Highgate Rd. The venue is 100 yards up on your left.
PARKING
It’s not advisable to drive to the venue as it is situated in a mainly residential area with an extensive Controlled Parking Zone in operation. Only car owners with resident permits will be allowed to park on street in the designated areas.
