The North Face, Carhartt and co: Our Top 6 Streetwear Jackets For The Autumn

Welcome Autumn! We’ve been expecting you…

As much as we were enjoying the little sunshine we got this year, we’re kinda ready for the Autumn time to truly arrive. With the chillier nights beginning and the annoyance of having to warm-up our car before we head on our merry way to work, it’s the perfect time to think about shopping for a new autumn/winter coat/jacket. We’ve put together a quick list of 6 of our favourites from our streetwear section – Happy browsing!

Light Jackets – THE NORTH FACE

the north face jackets
A brand that is fresh in our shop and somehow the classic among Autumn jackets. The model ‘Quest’ is black, 100 % polyester and of course wind & water resistant. With its high collar including the hood even the worst storm can’t harm you. And the best thing: Thanks to the mesh lining and the breathable materials you’ll always stay dry and never get too hot inside.

Windbreaker – CARHARTT

CARHARTT                       CARHARTT
Other than THE NORTH FACE jacket, this windbreaker from Carhartt (model ‘Nimbus’) doesn’t have a zipper in the front, but on the sides, so you can pull it over your head like a sweatshirt. In the kangaroo pocket on the front your hands will stay warm as well and the drawstring hem will take care of no cold getting into the Carhartt jacket. The shell material of the Nimbus windbreaker is 100 % nylon, the lining 100 % polyester.

(Vegan) Light Jackets – RAGWEAR

Ragwear jackets will be particularly interesting for the vegans among us: The brand even received a vegan fashion award in the category “Best male outerwear” in 2015 and are entitled to use the “PETA approved vegan” logo. The justification from the jury was…
that no animals should have to suffer for good streetwear and the Polyester lining keeps you cosy & warm.

Pullover Jacket – DICKIES

No other brand gives attention to CAMOUFLAGE like DICKIES do! The “Milford Camouflage” model will keep you cosy and warm with its material mix: 70 % cotton and 30 % polyester – Even the hood of this DICKIES Autumn jacket’s lined!

Autumn Jackets – ELEMENT

Element stand for clean designs – Something which is definately backed up when it comes to their light jackets. For example the ‘Dulcey’, as modeled here by the lovely Marcus, lead singer of Heaven Shall Burn. Some hard facts:  Patterned lining + hood, elastic ribbed cuffs and waistband, inside pocket, high collar and two slant front pockets (to keep your hands (and smartphone) warm) 😉

Light Jackets – IRONNAIL

Ironnail are still pretty new in the light jackets “scene”. However, the brand has designed some for this Autumn that showcase a similar minimalistic style like we’ve seen before with the Element designs. The “leather” jacket (Mode: William) is in fact a vegan leather jacket with its material mix between polyester, polyurethan and cotton. With its stand up collar and the big logo patch it looks super cool and is the ideal choice when you want to explore the night life without getting cold…

So now you’ve had a quick skim over our favourites, has your mind been made up as to which particular brand you’re going for?
